Early life, Family
Born on 24 April 1973 in the Marathi Brahmin family of Rajapur, Sachin was named by his father Ramesh Tendulkar after his favorite musician Sachin Dev Burman. His elder brother Ajit Tendulkar encouraged him to play cricket. Sachin also has a brother Nitin Tendulkar and a sister Savitai Tendulkar. In 1959 Sachin Tendulkar was married to Anjali Tendulkar. Sachin has two children - Sara and Arjun.
